YI Technology is partnering with a third party non-profit organization to promote sustainability. Through this partnership YI Technology hopes to highlight the importance of corporate engagement for social good.
The International Tree Foundation (ITF) has promoted and funded sustainable community forestry projects globally for over 90 years. It has been responsible for the establishment of hundreds of millions of trees and helping build up the communities around them.
This March, YI Technology is raising funds to help fund the ITF’s tree planting work. Customers will receive a 10% discount off of YI Cloud annual plans. YI will donate 10% of the net sales generated by annual YI Cloud subscriptions that are purchased as a one-time payment. As March 21st is the International Day of Forests, YI is giving green to help communities stay green.
One of the many goals shared by the United Nations calls for sustainable
development. This measure takes into account the the protection of Life and Land, including forests.
While forests cover 30 percent of the Earth’s surface, nearly 46 percent of the trees that used to exist have been chopped down since humans began deforestation. In addition to providing food, security and shelter, forests are key to combating climate change, protecting biodiversity and the homes of the indigenous population. By protecting forests, a vital natural resource is strengthened.
During the month of March, 10% of every purchase of an annual YI Cloud subscription that is paid through a one-time payment via PayPal will be donated to the International Tree Foundation and YI Cloud customers will receive a 10% discount for supporting the cause.
